The Big Knit 2010
12.08.2010
Age UK has announced that the Big Knit is happening again in 2010
We are hoping to knit 16,000 little hats and raise £4000!
For every hat we send to innocent, we will receive 25p.
We have currently recieved 2988 hats from members of the public!
3 versions of the pattern are available to download below. You can modify the pattern as you wish, just make sure the finished product still fits on the top of an innocent smoothie bottle! Please note, this year we can only knit the little hats - no veg pot warmers or large hats!

You may like to also collect sponsorship for your knitting effort, this will help raise more money for Age UK Wiltshire.
It would be a great bonus if our knitters could encourage 5 people to sponsor them at least 5p for every hat they knit, this would then double the amount of money we raise. However we appreciate every hat you knit for us, whether or not it is sponsored, so please feel free to just knit. The more hats the better!

You can also donate online by visiting the Age UK Wiltshire JustGiving site www.justgiving.co.uk/ageconcernwiltshire
Again, we would like anyone who is knitting to register with us. This is so we can keep track of how many hats to expect.
You can drop off your first batch of hats to any of the following locations. If you would like to send your hats in the post, please send them only to Age UK Wiltshire.
